I use to be an avid runner. I loved running and loved doing 5Ks, 10Ks, mud races, Spartan races, etc. I always wanted my running to do more for me than it ever actually did. That’s when I found Kari Pearce and her PowerAbs programs. She has many different programs to choose from. What worked for me and continues to work are the 21 minute programs that include strength and HIIT workouts. These are short workouts that I do at home or any where. They include different levels that you can make as easy or hard as you want depending on the weights you choose. These programs are super cheap and once you buy it is yours forever.
Now that it is starting to warm up and is pretty outside I have also been walking in the evenings. I enjoy this for several reasons. I enjoy being outside and taking in God’s beauty and blessings. My weenie dog goes with me so that’s fun and I can soak up some Vitamin D. Best times of the day for Vitamin D are between 10-2 but I will take it when I can get it. Another technique that has been beneficial is a vibration plate. It can help with lymphatic drainage, circulation, bone health, muscle strength, and balance. Other benefits have been reported as well.
